Little Stars programs

Platypus Room (15 Months - 2 Years Old)

In the Platypus room we also believe that providing personalised attention to every child is crucial to their growth and development, within this age group there is rapid development, particularly in terms of physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth. Their learning needs differ slightly at each stage, but both years are focused on exploration and building foundational skills, their learning will be supported through using the EYLF V2.0 as a point of reference.

The Patypus room is set at 12 children.
Our experienced and dedicated educators work closely with families to create flexible routines that meet the unique needs of each child, as well as mirroring your child/ren’s home routine to ensure we offer the best transition into the child/ren’s new learning environment. We understand that every child has their own schedule and preferences, and we strive to accommodate them to ensure that they feel comfortable and secure in our care.

We maintain a constant flow of communication with families, sharing information about each child’s progress and milestones regularly. Our goal is to work in partnership with parents to provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment for their child.

In addition to our focus on individualised attention and communication, the Platypus Room offers a range of activities and experiences that encourage children to explore, learn, and grow. From creative arts, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander exploration learning, and crafts to physical activities and outdoor play, our programs are designed to engage children and support their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
